Dr. Susan Sheahan, DMD
Dr. Susan Sheahan, DMD, is a highly experienced dentist with more than 20 years in the field. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University and received a scholarship from the United States Air Force. During her service, she completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program.
Dr. Sheahan is a member of several leading professional organizations. She serves as a Liaison for the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry and as an Ambassador for The Breathe Institute. She is also a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the International Affiliation of Tongue-Tie Professionals, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
As the founder of Breathing and Functional Dentistry, Dr. Sheahan is passionate about advancing airway-focused and functional dental care. She also educates fellow professionals by teaching on a variety of dental topics. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys volunteering at her church and spending time with her horses.
